Our latest project—a complete first-floor remodel—exemplifies this philosophy, bringing together elegant design with the finest craftsmanship. Here’s a closer look at how we transformed this space into a bright, inviting, and serene retreat for the homeowners.

A Family Room Awash in Light

The heart of this remodel centered on the family room, where we added beautiful built-ins to enhance both storage and style. To flood the space with natural light, we installed new windows and stunning exterior French doors. These additions not only brightened the room but also created a seamless connection between the indoors and the outdoors, perfect for both everyday living and entertaining.

Fresh Flooring and Elegant Moldings

New 7.5” plank wood flooring was installed throughout the first floor, including the stairs, providing a cohesive and refreshed look. Coffered ceilings with 8” wide planks were added in the family room and the piano room received beautiful beam details. The choice of materials and finishes added warmth and elegance to the space, complementing the serene color palette chosen for the walls and decor. In the entryway, we introduced new coffered ceilings and wainscoting and a striking new entry door, creating a grand yet welcoming entrance that sets the tone for the entire home.

A Serene Color Palette and Thoughtful Decor

Serenity was key in selecting the colors and decor for this project. Soft, calming hues were chosen to create a peaceful ambiance, while new furniture and carefully curated decor pieces added layers of comfort and sophistication. We used paint colors Greek Villa on the walls and DoveTail from Sherwin Williams on the built-ins.  The result is a space that feels both luxurious and inviting—a perfect retreat for the homeowners.

A Special Surprise for the Homeowners

One of the most rewarding aspects of this project was the timing. The homeowners were away during the final stages of the remodel, allowing us to complete the transformation without disruption. When they returned from their trip, they were greeted by what felt like a brand-new home. Their delight at the reveal was a testament to the power of thoughtful design and quality craftsmanship.  The homeowner’s immediate response when she walked in and texted us, “It’s just gorgeous, Ashley!!!!  Thank you!!!”
