The Yellow Door first came to life in 2019 as a floral shop in Ashley’s basement. We have grown so much over the years, that we are now a strong team of four members at the core surrounded with multiple amazing crews. Our mission is to provide you with a seamless and stress free renovation that makes all aspects of your dream home become a reality. We work alongside you to make your home become a space you and your family never want to leave.

Hello I'm Ashley. A dreamer at heart. Love the hustle of life and work. I'm a nurse, mother, interior designer, floral connoisseur and lover of all things in life. From a young age I wanted to make an impact on other's lives; this is why I went into nursing. While working in healthcare, I saw a change in the landscape and knew it was time to make my own mark in my true passion: home design. Another turning point to start my own business was after my first son was born with Spina Bifida. I was able to manage anything after these life lessons. With a new, fearless perspective of how I could make a difference in other's lives, I shifted my efforts to a long term dream of owning my own home remodeling and interior design business.
Growing up in Columbus, Ohio I'm a Mid-West girl at heart. I didn't grow up with much, so I learned how to think outside the box to create that which I wanted. My mother was "hands-on" with me and my sisters; she taught us many life-long skills. Little did I know the lessons my mother taught us would benefit me today.
Creating The Yellow Door Design Co. has given me the ability to touch many client lives and really connect and help them through the home remodeling process. I enjoy pushing past my own creative limits and can help with your full remodel or interior design needs. I really listen to my clients and I work with each client individually to give them the exact look they have been dreaming of.

Start by filling out our questionnaire to get a little more info about your project
We will come out, take measurements, see the space, give ideas and determine the scope of work to generate your Itemized List
We hit the ground running all things design: creating design boards, selection materials, creating renderings, etc.
We bring out all design materials, samples, etc. You approve/deny every detail and we schedule out construction
Our cleaners come in, we come install all furniture, lighting, decor and style everything for the final reveal & take pictures
We'll schedule out a ~30 min phone call to discuss details about your project
We'll meet to discuss the full scope of work, and give you a ballpark range for your project
Construction begins and we are on site and having constant communication until the job is complete
At this point we often feel like part of the fam and will keep in touch and the door open for any future projects!
