The Yellow Door Design Co. is a full service design build studio. Different from just a designer, a design build studio handles the entire project - from conceptual design to construction, taking the stress of managing a large renovation off the homeowner. We do all the legwork so that your only responsibility is deciding what you like and dislike. Once you hire us, we manage all design, labor selection and coordination, ordering, and scheduling - ensuring your project is completely hassle free with the highest care and quality.

OUR PROCESS

The consultation takes place in two stages. First, a 15 minute introductory call is made - where we can better get to know you, your space, and your goals. Next, an in person consult is scheduled where basic measurements are taken and a rudimentary design plan for the space is crafted.

Preliminary design options are created for your space. Materials, fixtures, and other components are depicted on design boards corresponding to each design. Architectural renderings are provided as an optional offering to ensure you can visualize your new space properly.
SCHEMATIC DESIGN

Final design decisions and selections are made. The contract is signed to proceed with the construction process and materials are ordered.
FINALIZE DESIGN

A construction schedule is generated and one of our skilled crews are selected. Regular walkthroughs occur throughout each phase of construction to ensure quality, consistency, and timeliness.
CONSTRUCTION
CLOSE
After construction is complete, any furniture and accessories selected in the design phase are placed in the space. A final walk through is conducted to ensure the renovation is up to your standards.

MEET THE DESIGNER
Hello I'm Ashley. A dreamer at heart. Love the hustle of life and work. I'm a nurse, mother, interior designer, floral connoisseur and lover of all things in life. From a young age I wanted to make an impact on other's lives; this is why I went into nursing. While working in healthcare, I saw a change in the landscape and knew it was time to make my own mark in my true passion: home design. Another turning point to start my own business was after my first son was born with Spina Bifida. I was able to manage anything after these life lessons. With a new, fearless perspective of how I could make a difference in other's lives, I shifted my efforts to a long term dream of owning my own home remodeling and interior design business.
Growing up in Columbus, Ohio I'm a Mid-West girl at heart. I didn't grow up with much, so I learned how to think outside the box to create that which I wanted. My mother was "hands-on" with me and my sisters; she taught us many life-long skills. Little did I know the lessons my mother taught us would benefit me today.
Creating The Yellow Door Design Co. has given me the ability to touch many client lives and really connect and help them through the home remodeling process. I enjoy pushing past my own creative limits and can help with your full remodel or interior design needs. I really listen to my clients and I work with each client individually to give them the exact look they have been dreaming of.
